Jay Blossom joined the In Trust Center in 2005 as Editor of In Trust magazine. In 2013, he was named Vice President for Communication for the In Trust Center and publisher of In Trust magazine. He oversees all of the In Trust Center’s communication initiatives, including the 30-year-old quarterly magazine, a monthly e-newsletter, and In Trust Blog, which is updated frequently with news relevant to the leaders of theological schools.
Previously, Blossom served on the editorial staffs of medical publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, the academic journal Church History, and the William and Mary Alumni Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduate degrees at the College of William and Mary and Duke University, where he studied American religious and cultural history.
Blossom also serves as rector’s warden at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia and as president (for the 2017–19 term) of the Associated Church Press, the nation’s oldest professional association of religious journalists.
