Dr. Nathan Hitchcock has helped launch an array of competency-based programs. He played a key role in designing Kairos, the CBTE track of Sioux Falls Seminary. There he was responsible for much of the curricular design, technology implementation, event programming, policy, faculty training and assessment systems. In 2018 he devoted himself fulltime to helping other organizations with competency-based, network-based solutions. Through Sevensided Consulting he works with seminaries, denominations, and various non-profit organizations to set up architecture for CBTE programming. Hitchcock was a member and team leader of the ATS Peer Group on CBE. Aside from writing about pedagogy, he has published research on competency-based education, Church history, eschatology, and gender studies. He received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh.
